 CrossCountry Freight Solutions to Expand Expedited LTL Service Area Throughout Iowa

July 23, 2016 – Bismarck, ND, July 21, 2016 ( - On August 1, 2016, CrossCountry Freight Solutions (CCFS) will begin providing expedited LTL (less-than-truckload) freight transportation services throughout the state of Iowa. To facilitate their expansion, CCFS will be opening a freight terminal in Grinnell, Iowa, which will employ more than 10 team members. CCFS will offer overnight service between Iowa and Minneapolis, Omaha, Kansas City, Chicago, Sioux Falls, Fargo and many other cities throughout the region.

CCFS sets itself apart in the transportation industry through an ongoing commitment to creating innovative solutions in safety, quality and productivity. Through technological innovation, CCFS is able to provide unique solutions to its customers. "Using barcode scanning technology, we have visibility of every piece of freight within our system from the time it is picked up until the time it is delivered," said Jay Dillman, VP of Business Systems. "Because of the advantages we have gained through the use of technology, we can provide a higher level of service, while remaining price competitive."

Another competitive advantage, according to Ken Becker, VP of Operations is that, "We have tailgate lifts on all of our trailers, creating convenience for our customers and protecting the safety of drivers while loading or unloading shipments. We can quickly pickup or deliver, even if a location does not have a loading dock or a forklift available."

 CrossCountry Courier, Inc. Changes Its Name to CrossCountry Freight Solutions

July 27, 2012 – Janeanne Bischke, Owner and Chief Executive Officer of CrossCountry Courier, Inc. announced that as of August 1, 2012 the company will begin doing business under the name of CrossCountry Freight Solutions.

Originally founded in 1980, CrossCountry Courier has transitioned from a local courier into a for-hire carrier that provides all types of freight solutions for customers in the Upper Midwest. Service is concentrated in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and portions of Iowa, Montana, and Wisconsin.

CrossCountry Courier employs company drivers and operates its own fleet of over 200 power units. The company’s primary focus is providing standard and expedited less-than-truckload freight transportation. Other services include white glove, hot shot, regional truckload, dedicated, distribution, and warehousing services.
